Ethics CE Course: CFP Board's Revised Code and Standards

This CFP Board-approved continuing education course has been designed to educate CFP® professionals about CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct and fulfills CFP Board’s 2-hour ethics requirement. 

This session discusses how CFP® professionals should uphold high standards and ethical practices. Through this course, you will learn about the paramount obligation of CFP® professionals to act as fiduciaries, ensuring that they put their clients’ interests first when delivering financial advice as well as other obligations under the Code and Standards.

Choose between the following learning methods. No matter which best fits your schedule, the College reports your hours to CFP Board upon your completion of the attestation at the end of the course.

  • Self-Study
  • Live Online class - A Live Online class is offered once each month (generally on the third Wednesday of each month). A web camera and microphone are not required to enroll in or attend our live online Ethics CE course. The class is hosted on the Zoom platform.
  • Onsite

Please note: For CE courses for CFP® certification renewal, you will be charged an additional fee of $.60 per credit hour associated with reporting your hours to CFP Board. You will be charged the appropriate fee before you attempt the CE course’s final exam.
