The Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Training empowers financial professionals like you with the fiduciary knowledge and tools needed to serve your clients’ best interests and continue to successfully expand your business. You’ll gain a fundamental understanding of the principles of fiduciary duties, the standards of conduct for acting as a fiduciary, and a process for carrying out fiduciary responsibilities.

As an official education provider of AIF® Training, the College’s program helps candidates looking to sit for the AIF® exam satisfy the training requirement of the designation. The online program covers the following topics:

  • Organize: Fiduciary roles and responsibilities are clearly documented and defined
  • Formalize: The Investment Policy is consistent with the objectives of the portfolio and the risk and return assumptions
  • Implement: Decisions regarding investments and services are implemented in accordance with the duties of loyalty and care
  • Monitor: The portfolio is monitored regularly to ensure consistency with benchmarks and overall objectives
  • Course Recap and Review

Completion of the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Training can also help you fulfill continuing education (CE) requirements:

  • If you are a CFP® professional, the program qualifies for 7 CE hours for CFP® certification renewal.
  • If you currently hold a professional designation from the College, the program helps fulfill 7 CE credits as part of the renewal of your current designation.

Choose between OnDemand and Live Online classes to complete your program.
The program is offered as Live Online classes at certain times of the year or OnDemand classes that you can begin at any time. Your online learning platform will guide you through all your course-related activities, including reading assignments, recorded video lectures, module quizzes, and practice exam. Expect to spend approximately 20 hours to complete AIF® Training.

  • Are looking to complete the training requirement to sit for the AIF® exam of the AIF® designation

The AIF® Training is an open enrollment certificate program and does not have any academic prerequisites required for admission. 

The Accredited Investment Fiduciary® certification is a designation administered by Fi360, a Broadridge Company. The designation ensures that individuals who manage assets have a strong understanding of the duty and principles needed to successfully act as a fiduciary.

No. The College’s AIF® Training is a certificate program, whereby a certificate of completion is issued upon successful program completion. To receive the course certificate, students must complete the course's practice exam and score 70% or higher. The program does not award a professional certification (i.e., a credential that demonstrates the holder's specialized knowledge, skills, and experience). 

Successful completion of College’s education program satisfies the training requirement for candidates looking to sit for the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) exam of the AIF® designation. The College’s education program helps candidates looking to sit for the AIF® exam satisfy the training requirement of the AIF® designation.

You have 120 days from the date you are provided online access to complete the course. Expect to spend approximately 20 hours to complete AIF® Training.

After you complete AIF® Training,  you must take the AIF® designation exam with Fi360 to earn the designation (the exam is given by Fi360).  

The AIF® designation exam has 80 multiple-choice questions. All the questions are multiple-choice and the exam from Fi360 is graded immediately on completion. The passing score for the AIF® designation exam with Fi360 is 70%.
